Day 0: Toronto to Mumbai by flight


Day 1 Mumbai
2130 Hrs: Arrive Mumbai airport
Upon arrival at the Mumbai airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel

Day 2 Mumbai
Today our tour guide in Mumbai will tell you all the beautiful stories and history linked with Colonial & Tourist sites.
Excursion by boat to Elephanta Caves (Closed on Mondays) – a UNESCO world Heritage site. It lies 10 km north east of Apollo Bunder and is the glorious abode of Lord Shiva (the destroyer God as per Hindu mythology). The island is famous for its great cave shrine, excavated in the sixth century, dating back to the period, when the island was known as Gharapuri, the Fortress City. With the arrival of the Portuguese, the island was renamed Elephanta, after the huge carved elephant, they found at the place where they landed.
Start you tour with The Gateway of India one of India's most unique landmarks. The colossal structure was concentrated in 1924. The Gateway of India is a monument that marks India's chief ports and is a major tourist attraction for visitors. Beautiful Hanging Gardens the perfectly manicured terraced gardens on the slopes of the Malabar Hill. You have a panoramic view of sweeping Chowpatty Beach and scintillating Marine Drive from Hanging Garden that has no less than an awe-inspiring expression from the onlookers Hanging gardens serves as a picturesque retreat for the people of Mumbai. It is actually a terraced garden that sprawls on the slpe of the hill. Perhaps this is the reason of its being named as the Hanging Garden
Mani Bhawan is a simple old-style, two storied building on Luaburnum Road, Mumbai. Wherever Gandhiji was in Mumbai between 1917 to 1934, he stayed here. It is now converted into a museum and research centre.
Dhobi Ghat is a well known open air laundromat in Mumbai. The washers, locally known a Dhobis, work in the open to wash the clothes.
Marine Drive - also known as the Queen's Necklace is a 3 Kms long boulevard in South Mumbai. It is also the world’s largest viewing gallery and hence has been a host to a number of events that take place along the promenade.

Transfer from Hotel to Mumbai airport in time to board flight for Ahmedabad

Upon arrival at Ahmedabad airport transfer to Hotel


Afternoon visit to Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram followed by the painted Swaminarayan Temple


Day 4 Ahmedabad
This morning after breakfast you will enjoy city tour of Ahmedabad visiting.
Sidi Saiyad Mosque, built by a general of Abysinian origin in the 1570 is best known for its intricate perforated stone work, The Sidi Saiyad Mosque is famous for its ten semis – circular delicately carved stone windows; one of them shows the intricately entwined branches of a tree, depicting the ‘Tree of life’. The Swetambara Temple 
Hathesingh temple was built outside Delhi gate in 1850 by a rich jain merchant Sheth Hatheesing. This is the best known of Ahmadabad’s many ornate jain temples. It is dedicated to Dharamnath, the fifteenth Tirthankar whose status stand in the main sanctuary Built by pure marble profusely decirated with rich carving, 
Dada Hari Vav (Stepped well) - This well was built to provide cool resting place and water to the travelers. The stepped well is one the finest example of Gujarati architecture. Even on the hottest days the well is cool. This well was built in 1501. It has a flight of steps leading down to lower and lower platform terminating at a small, octagonal well. The best time to visit and photograph the well is between 10 and 11 am; at other times the sun doesn't penetrate to the various levels
Later drive to Adalaj, visit step well is an architectural wonder built by Queen Rudabai and is certainly one of the finest monuments of Gujarat. It is a seven-storied structure in the form of a well with chambers one behind the other. The ‘Vav’ or stepped wells of Gujarat were used as meeting and resting-places during summer since their cool interiors offered unbelievable respite from the scorching sun outside.


Day 5 Ahmedabad
After breakfast visit The Calico Museum (With Prior Permission) [Guided Tour: 10.30 am to 1.00 pm – Entry between 10.15 to 10.30 am only] – is the premier textile museum of the country, and one of the most celebrated institutions of its kind in the world for its distinguished and comprehensive collection of textiles and artifacts. (Wednesday & public holidays are closed.   Required prior permission to visit, first 15 pax entry permitted)


Day 6 Ahmedabad to Bhavnagar by surface (Approx. 225 Kms, 5 Hrs)
Early morning drive to Bhavnagar, another rich princely city. Check-in at your hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing, covering Takhteshwar Temple and Gandhi Smriti Museum. Overnight stay


Day 7 Bhavnagar to Diu by surface (Apporx. 225 Kms, 5 Hrs)
After breakfast drive from Bhavnagar to Diu
Upon arrival at Diu, check in at your hotel
Rest of the day at leisure and Overnight stay at Hotel


Day 8 Diu
Morning sightseeing tour of Diu. See how the Portuguese used to rile, visting the battlement of Diu Fort, the wood panelled St.Paul’s and St. Thomas’ Churches. Evening at leisure
